To celebrate the first anniversary of MJR we have collectively published “As You Were,” a 55 page hardcover book available through our bookstore at Blurb.com.
We put a lot of thought into the sequencing of this book, and each spread is intended to stimulate both sides of your brain. The idea behind MJR has always been a way for us to push each other, and in the process we created a lot of images that spoke to one another. This book is that forum.

Dudes with all due respect, at the $100 price mark don’t expect anyone to buy your book except yourselves.
@fuad,
we specifically offered two versions, one hard cover and one softcover at prices that pay for the production of the book itself, $40 and $62, respectively).
my own book is higher priced but the amount of pages and level of quality also equates evenly to the amount charged. we hope by offering these books at amounts equivalent to their production cost that they’ll reach more people who can’t drop $100+ on a book. so we’re really making no money off any sales and for the price of a tank of gas these days, we’re just seeking to get more people to enjoy work we put our sweat and hearts into.
i just bought a shirt for $45, so i guess it’s all in how we value things. i’m always on the hunt for good photobooks by photographer’s i’m familiar with, whether legends or young ones.
for the record, both books are well worth the asking prices.
think of buying art instead of buying some cool photos or whatever,
and seriously, I have spent well over 100 in 10 minutes in vegas or a good night at the bars.
so the way I look at it, this is an investment. and it wont leave wondering my you always hit on 15 or with a hangover.
so buy them.
This stuff ain’t coming back into print…you can count on that…so buy while you can…I snagged two, but maybe (just maybe) I’m biased…
