How Should We Give Away This Book?

The great folks at Blurb passed on a free book to me and so I’m posing this question to you: how should we give it away? Our last photo contest went great, with Dina Goldstein winning a large fine-art print. But we at MJR like to mix it up a bit, so post your suggestions.

@andrew - what kind of photo contest?

Well, the book appears to be called “portraits” so if you did a photo contest, seems like that would be the most logical.

How about a contest where we try to make a portrait least like a portrait that would actually appear in the book?

Photo contest which matches the theme of the book.

i like the idea of having it tie into the theme of the book, which is portraits of people from all walks of life, from all over, very close.

How about the best by line to describe the photo.

Just like always I agree with The Duke.

maybe people find an image on MJR and shoot something that emulates it?

@johnny: i’m totally game with that. gonna call a MJR meeting…which is sorta like an Avengers meeting, only less tights.

Photo contest with captions. They’re almost as important as the images.
